The Note of My Life

I was looking for a missing note.
The note of my life,
Alas! I could never find one
Inspite of mental strife.

I flipped over the pages,
I sang through my mind,
Not a single note would strike
That was one of its kind.

I travelled overseas
From Japan to the coast of Spain
My song was still incomplete,
My efforts went in vain.

Then one day a note arrived,
Without any hint or say,
She was like a magical verb
Who somehow found her way.

The note played in my mind,
She touched my heart gently,
I'd found the music of my soul,
That I'd longed for incessantly.

They loved me playing the note,
They loved me adoring her,
They told me a thousand times,
That I was nothing without her.

The note was an angel's blessing
She found her way to me.
My music had been so beautiful
With the loving note and me.

That was a long time back,
When I was a singer then.
I have come a long way now,
Down the memory lane.

I lost all my talent,
I lost all my notes,
But I still cherish her in my heart
My only loving note.

My eyes 've become weak now,
I cant see that well.
I keep searching my books
To find my blooming dale.

Today I am so old,
I have no other friend,
My lonely note in my song,
Is whom upon I bend.

I have one last wish these days,
I pray to God to my best
May I die peacefully on bed, Oh Lord!
With my notebook on my chest.

A very well written poem. @ is there any particular reason why you used Japan and Spain??

  4. Btw I can't recognize this "waiting....all my life" person...hehehhe...
Well I tried to emphasize that
    (1) oriental and occidental influence in the music - more global
    (2) the level of desperation in searching for the note
    (3) Spain is one of my favorite nations...I am a big Spanish fan...Japan as I could not find any other country in the far east...:-)
